Welcome to Where the Tracks meet the Trail
Meet us Downtown
Pleasant Hill’s first settlers arrived in 1828, and despite nearly being decimated by Order No. 11 during the Civil War, this railway depot town endured to thrive today as a rails-to-trails town that boasts a 19th-century train depot, civil war era cemeteries, historic buildings, not to mention a newly renovated Historic District Museum.
Meet us for a night out
Visit the Shopping and Dining Historic District and patronize local goods, crafts, wine and beer, antiques and food artisans. Bring your bikes and venture onto six miles of scenic off-pavement MoPac Trail State Park. Enjoy over 300 acres of public parks and recreation.
Meet us for the weekend
Our Historic District is the hub of our community. We host the Cass County Fair, monthly summer cruise nights with live music in the park, The Railroad Days Festival, Piccadiliy Auction, Community Bike and Trails events and more. And don’t miss the City of Pleasant Hill’s Christmas UTV Parade!
Meet us at the Market
Our Historic District Farmers Market is evolving and growing every year. Shop local farmers produce along side hand made crafts and gifts. Interested in becoming a vendor? We are taking applications now. Click below for more information.
Be a part of making history!
Pleasant Hill hosts many events and revitalization projects every year, but none of it would be possible without the help of volunteers. The best way to make a difference in our downtown is to get involved. Our community is growing by the day and we would love to bring you on board.
